Macleay Valley Archers - Shoot Results 23 June 2012

Macleay Valley Archers - Shoot Results 23 June 2012

A full days archery for some of our members, shooting two styles of archery. Brett challenged himself by going barebow compound, which means no assistance from high-tech gadgets such as scopes and sights. He returned a very sound score for his first ABA barebow attempt in the afternoon, having used the morning IFAA round to work out where he should aim at the targets.

It was lovely to have two visitors from the Monterra Club shoot with us (Brian and AnnetteTreheway, 346 and 264 respectively), as well as first time vistor Elijah who shot an excellent 244 from the cub peg.

IFAA Scores (max 150): Alastair Smedley (135); Garry Ward (129); Joshn Scott (120); Karen Smedley (117); Brett Hodgman (47)

ABA Scores (max 400): Dave McManus (392); Alastair Smedley (384); Cec Apps (378); Sean Irvine (342); Stewart Bennington (334); Ray McManus (324); Dean Irvine (314); Brett Hodgman (308); Liam Crawford (274); Chris Garrett (258); Bruce Crawford (224); Nic Garrett (198)

Next week (Sat 30 June): regular ABA round starting around 1.30pm followed by our club meeting

Two new shooters were welcomed, Warren and Ethan, who spent time with Brett on the practice butts before shooting a couple of targets on the Goanna range.

Next week, International IFAA round in the morning (10am for 10.30am start), followed by a regular ABA round starting around 1.30pm.
