Well another week has passed & I find myself sitting here wondering what to write. The weather was less than perfect and kept several of the regulars away. It was lovely to see 2 beginner families turn up, love that sort of enthusiasm. Bruce & his son Liam Followed by Dean and his son Sean arrived. I love seeing families bond together like this. I find it really nice when I hear sons or daughters asking Dad or Mum how to do something. Sean, Dean & Bruce all had personal best scores. Only a few points separate all family members. This week really proved we are a proud family oriented club. How's this for family involvement, Ray and Son Dave, Cupcake & Teabag, Alastair & Karen, Bruce & Liam, Dean & Sean. Sean shot very well and smashed the 300 point barrier, well done mate. Sean has promised to write an article for the blog on how he sees the club and archery in general. I have been writing this for nearly 2 years now and thought you might be getting a bit fed up with my peculiar slant on things. As a result I am going to ask members, from time to time, to contribute to the blog with a guest article. Since Sean is much smaller than me I picked him as my first victim. When your asked please don't say no, as you can see by what I write skill doesn't come into it. Grandad came to the club but was so sick he didn't even bring his bow. He only came because I had asked him how he uses his release and could he show me. When I asked he wasn't to sick but got worse as time wore on. Now think about the commitment and sportsmanship Cec displayed. Cec came because he is the club coach and a member asked for help. The fact that he was sick and the asking member is his arch enemy didn't matter. Thanks Cec.
