Well we arrived at Avon mid afternoon Friday. It was dry & warm so I checked the GPS co-ordinates and yes we were at Avon Strange that it was dry but it did lead into a beautiful weekend. 12 Macleay ites made the trip and we acquitted our selves very well indeed. Ray, Karen, Stephen & Gloria all came home as State champions. Karen & Gloria also won the medals for overall champions in their respective classes. Dean & son Sean went to their first branch shoot and first IFAA shoot. Both of them did really well. I think Dean is going to be a real asset if he keeps shooting like this. Sean cooks a mean sausage as well. Karen & Alastair celebrated 22 years of married bliss. Which is 2 years longer than you get for murder. Alaistair & Dave continued their private war with Alastair winning by 2 points. Grandad had a bit of sympathy for teabag, but teabag just wasn't up to the task. Garry & Brett were both in with na chance but got pipped at the post by Tony, Tony & Tony. If only they were called Tony. Leach bait Bruce & Sir Dryfire turned up at the club and I believe they turned 90 meters of old fencing in to fire wood. Thanks. This weekend was the best attended state or branch IFAA shoot with 90 entries.
