2nd leg of the eco shoot 25/8/12 2 arrow round

Oh what a lovely club this is. This week they have handed their blog over to the Macleay Valley Longbow Association. I must say both of our members would like to thank MVA for this kind offer.
Just a couple of observations up front. 1.It took 15 seconds to get ready. 2. Glued on points tend to come loose after 26 years.3.  Four arrows is not quite enough. 4. I can have all my arrows on the way to anything longer than a series three before the first one lands. 5. Do not, I repeat do not get to target 17 and announce proudly that you haven't lost any arrows, as no matter how far target 17 is you will loose an arrow. 6. You can shoot long wooden sticks, shorter carbon shafts or medium length alloys all with different spines, out of the same longbow and get the same result. 7. Hitting the butt is reason for wild celebration. 8. getting 40 on a long series 4 target almost causes one to wet his pants with excitement and smug satisfaction. 9. At target seven I scored 34 and more than doubled my score for the round so far, try that with your fancy compounds.10. longbows make a practical way of providing shade to scope users without putting yourself in any danger.simply hang hat on longbow and then lean across to needed area. 11. We have our own theme song. Which I will try to post on here some where. 12. Nobody expects you to hit anything.
and finally coming last is like a badge of honor. Moving on to less important matters. Granddad had a Robin hood last week. Coins Broke 2 arrows this week and the asked Cola Karen if he could have more. Then in an act of bravado or stupidity beat her by two. Due to the fact I was wondering around in a world of my own I don't really know what else happened. Nearly for got SWR Brad nearly chopped his arm in half. simply amazing what a small piece of string can do to bare flesh, he liked it so much he did it twice.
