ABA 1 arrow 30 June

Hi all. As you now Cupcake & I went to Sale for the national IFAA titles, we then went to Geelong to see Sons, daughter in laws, Grand children and great grandchildren plus an old school mate from primary days ( about 55 years ago) & a brother and his wife. We survived torrential rain, floods, earthquakes and days with a maximum temp of 8 degrees. Spent a day Gold prospecting and found a gate, some metal pipe, nails, soft drink cans, several pie dishes but no gold.We shot 5 days of IFAA, spent a Saturday afternoon at an Archery Australia club shooting target, did the Tuggerah shoot and finished up at the club. All in all we traveled just over 3000 klms and shot between 700 & 800 arrows. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed ourselves. But just like slipping into a pair of favorite slippers we felt most comfortable at our home club with special friends. It was a pure joy to be bitten by ticks and leaches, even took one home and let it wonder across the lounge room floor. Fat little bugger he was as well. We shot with Alastair & Cec. It took a little while but I finally lowered them to my standard. Unfortunately, in the process I dropped my own scores. Cupcake again beat me as did granddad. Fortunately my other nemesis left the country when she heard I was returning. Well that's my story.
At next years AGM could I suggest that we have any nominations for range captain be subjected to some form of psychological testing. The one we have now is causing total havoc. Who in their right mind sets the first ten targets at minimum distance and the last ten at any distance. Feathers & Fingers are just plain evil.
Scores for the day:-
Feathers Dave 386, Home Brew Garry 376, Coins Alastair and Granddad Cec 362, Cupcake Gloria 328, Teabag 320, Chris 272, BC Liam 228, Leach bait Bruce 214, Finger Ray 180, Nick 152.
Cheers Teabag
